Why is there no category for bicycles under transportation?

Why does Yahoo! Answers not consider bicycles a form of transportation? Or, feet for that matter. These are two forms of tansportation that I use daily. I don’t have a car and I don’t use transit.

There is a sub-category for cycling under sports.
While some people certainly use bicycles for
basic transportation, bicycling like walking or running
generates more questions in the sports than in the
    transportation arena.

Probably for the same reason that you do not use spell check.

They have a Cycling group under Sports. They probably just want one group for cycling — and more people are interested in it as a leisure sport than as a form of transportation (unless you are in Amsterdam, of course)

Unlike East Asian and Pacific Island Countries, you will find that Americans for the most part use bicycles for recreation and excersice, and therefore it is not really considered transportation. Now while this may be true in many cases, I believe that they tend to forget messangers, health nuts, and delivery people. Or maybe by placing it there people will start to get the idea to use a bicycle and there by reducing the amount of gas used. One can only wonder. Perhaps we should write the department of transportation and complain.
